EAGLES HELPING THE COMMUNITY
EHTC is collecting household items and personal care/hygiene items to be donated to Syrian refugee families in neighboring communities. We are collecting items such as toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste/toothbrushes, Q-tips, paper plates, paper cups, napkins, cleaning products, deodorant, and soap. All items are greatly appreciated. Items can be dropped off in room 135.
Every year Middletown HS South seniors take an exit survey on Naviance, reporting the scholarship money they received at the respective institutions where they were accepted. In order to make this process more accurate, we are asking students and parents to become more involved in the scholarship reporting. High School South would like to recognize the individual and class accomplishments by reporting a more accurate total dollar number of scholarships offered to our students. As you receive scholarships from the schools you are applying to (even if you don’t plan to attend), please let your guidance counselor know by bringing in or emailing them a copy of your scholarship package. This will be an ongoing process and at the end of the year, Middletown South will celebrate your accomplishments with the community.
SPCA JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS - MHSS SPCA Junior Volunteers: This new club is for students who are interested in helping the animals who are waiting so patiently for their forever homes at the Monmouth County SPCA! If you are interested in helping by assisting in donation drives and promoting the pets at the shelter here at South so they can hopefully be adopted by a loving South family this club is perfect for you. Most activities will occur during Blocks 3 and 4. If interested please see Mr. Letson in the Health Office.
There are many items in Lost and Found including many winter jackets and sweatshirts. If you have lost an item please visit the Health Office ASAP to claim it. If an item remains in Lost and Found for an extended period it may eventually be donated to a charitable cause. Thanks!
