The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students.  More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Academic Excellence, Leadership, Service, and Character.

  • Students with at least a 3.5 GPA are invited to join during the spring of their junior year. Seniors with a 3.5 are invited to join in the fall of their senior year. ( Proposals have been submitted to increase the GPA to 3.75 in the future)
  •  Students need to have completed at least 100 hours of community service. Students should be involved in service outside of school.
  • Students need to be involved in school sponsored activities. Students should show consistent and varied involvement in numerous school activities
  • Students need to exhibit leadership skills. (Team captain, editor of newspaper, officer of class council, camp counselor, etc.)
Once selected members must participate in the Chapter Service Project, maintain the required GPA and fulfill 50 more hours of community service. Members must also participate in fundraisers for our Chapter, the NHS scholarship and other charities.
