PHI DELTA KAPPA INTERNATIONAL PROSPECTIVE
EDUCATOR SCHOLARSHIPS - Awarded to prospective educators who
have a connection to PDK. Eligible students must meet one of the
following criteria: high school senior intending to major in
education who is a member of a Future Educators Association® chapter
in good standing, the child or grandchild of a Kappan in good
standing, has one of his/her reference letters written by a Kappan
in good standing, or whose application is selected to represent the
local PDK chapter. Letters of reference, essay and transcript

FRANK AND LOUISE GROFF FOUNDATION -
For prospective nurses. Eligibility criteria include financial
need, academic accomplishment, and involvement in school and
community activities. Students who plan to major in nursing in
either a four-year college or a certificated program should complete
all forms carefully; transcript and letter of recommendation
required. Students attending Brookdale Community College for nursing
must be admitted to the nursing program in order to qualify.

Available to students planning to study for a career in agriculture,

ASIAN PACIFIC ISLANDERS FOR PROFESSIONAL
& COMMUNITY ADVANCEMENT OF AT&T – Scholarship open to all
full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing,

accredited college or vocational school. In addition to the

Seventeen scholarships will be awarded to members of the NJ Key
Club, Class of 2010, “who have exemplified incomparable dedication

– The program is designed
to recognize outstanding graduating high school student athletes

NEW JERSEY BURGLAR & FIRE ALARM ASSN (NJBFAA)
– Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who has been
accepted to an accredited college/university, and the son or
daughter of active-duty police or fire personnel. Eligibility
criteria include class average, combined SAT scores, awards
received, hobbies, school and outside extracurricular activities.

FUTURE MUNICIPAL LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP
– High school juniors and seniors in Middletown are invited to
submit essays about their local government for a chance to win a
$1000 scholarship. The theme, "What My Mayor and Governing Body Do
Best", seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer members
of municipal government. Application and information are available

JOHN LEPPING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
– Open to disabled youth, including but not limited to physical
disabilities (spinal cord injury, loss of limb, birth defects, etc.)
and psychological handicaps (autism, post-traumatic stress,
etc.); economically disadvantaged youth, including but not limited
to youth unable to financially support education due to family
economic status; athletic youth, demonstrating athletic and academic

FRIENDLY SONS OF ST. PATRICK –
This Jersey Shore Foundation is offering $1,000 scholarships for
high school seniors who are residents of Monmouth or Ocean County
and who will be attending college in September. Applicants must have
at least one parent, grandparent or great-grandparent of Irish
heritage. Financial need and academic excellence are also prime
considerations. Applications are available in the guidance office.

MONMOUTH COUNTY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
– Scholarship is open to children of MCEA and is based on academic
achievement and community service. Typed statement and

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP CULTURAL & ARTS
COUNCIL – Applicant must be a graduating high school senior,
a full-time Middletown resident, and be enrolled in an accredited
institution of higher learning for 2010-2011 pursuing studies in the
arts. The applicant must possess specific knowledge and expertise in
an area of the arts, and have a record of involvement, service, and
contribution in their school/community relating to their specific
art discipline. Other application requirements include letters of

WILLIAM R. EASTMOND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
– Sponsored by the Jersey Shore Pop Warner Football League, Inc.
Eligibility requirements include participation at the Jersey Shore
Pop Warner level for at least one year, either on the football team
or cheerleading/dance squad, and plans to attend an accredited
college/university in the fall of this year. Essay required.

MARINE TRADES ASSOCIATION OF NJ –
Two scholarships are offered: a full scholarship to attend the
Automotive Training Center for the Marine Service Technology Program
in Pennsylvania; and a $3000 scholarship that can be applied towards

Fisher (Vo-Tech) Scholarships to competitively selected high school
seniors in Monmouth/Ocean counties. Minimum criteria include
commitment to the pursuit of a college degree in communications,
computer science or electronics in preparation for a career in
Science or Engineering; rank in the top 25% of the class; good

CHRISTIAN ABBES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
- To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must be a

designed to help reinforce the message that the legal drinking age
is 21, and to help educate students on the consequences and risks of
underage drinking. Students can take a short, interactive online
quiz testing their knowledge of the legal drinking age at

scholarship.

MONMOUTH COUNTY ASSN OF SCHOOL BUSINESS
OFFICIALS – Open to high school seniors who attend Monmouth
County public schools. Minimum criteria include 2.5 GPA, acceptance

NJ VIETNAM VETERANS’ MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
- Awarding two $2,500.00 scholarships for post-high school
education (college, community college, trade school, etc.) Applicant
must be NJ resident, a graduating high school senior, visit the
Memorial and write an essay about the visit, and submit verification
of acceptance at a particular school. All applications must be
received at the Foundation’s office no later than April 16, 2010 at

XX OLYMPIAD MEMORIAL AWARD –
Awarded by the Monmouth-Ocean County Council of the Jewish War
Veterans of the USA to an outstanding scholar-athlete. The
award honors the memory of the Israeli Olympic team members who were
slain at the XX Olympics in Munich, Germany in 1972. The competition
is non-sectarian, and the sole criterion is that the student be a
high school senior in the Monmouth-Ocean counties area. Details and

NORTHERN NJ CHAPTER – Three one-time scholarships of $1500
will be awarded to students who will attend college or a
trade/business/professional school to further their marketability in
