November 13, 2007             Dear Parents/Guardians:            This is to inform you that a single confirmed case of Methicillin-resistant Staphlococcus aureau (MRSA) infection has been reported at Middletown North.  The affected individual has been successfully treated and has now returned to school with medical clearance.  The Facilities Department of the District has been working to fully sanitize the building and locker rooms this past week.            You have previously received information about MRSA, which came from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Please review this fact sheet carefully and be aware that all the necessary precautions and protocols have been followed regarding treatment for this case and the sanitization of the building.
